Tracey Ecclestone

DiamondThe amazing woman who makes it all happen! Tracey was born and raised in South Africa but with a thirst for adventure and travel, Trace left in 2002 and travelled to Spain where she met the love of her life Jason. The two were running a motorcross and enduro rental business when she found a studio offering pole classes. She instantly fell in love with the sport and advanced from beginner to expert in just five months! In 2009 the couple decided to move back to Jason’s home town. Later that same year Tracey opened the doors to her first very own pole studio, Polercise WA, with just five poles, however being the tenacious and forward thinking woman she knew that her little studio was destined to take over the whole building!

Tracey is passionate about giving her students the best possible education and training in the Aerial Arts. She is forever updating her own knowledge so she can pass it down to her team of carefully selected instructors so all students benefit regardless of who is instructing their class. For Tracey, it is so important for her students to gain the strength required to progress to prevent injury and to be the best they can be. This is why students are trained in class but on a personal level to suit their own strengths and weaknesses. The atmosphere of the studio is one of support and encouragement where students feel safe and confident. Classes are loud with both student and instructor alike screaming and cheering with excitement when moves are nailed!

Since opening the studio Tracey has been reaching for the stars, she never stops training and learning and bringing more and more exciting opportunites to her staff and students.

2009

In December Tracey opens the doors to Polercise WA with dreams to grow the studio into a one stop shop for Aerial Fitness addicts!

2010

Always wanting more Tracey started training Trapeze and Silks skills in Fremantle with circus guru ‘Danger Rus’ to explore further Aerial addictions! Rus in an International Aerial Coach and Circus Performer. After a few sessions the two became great friends but training with Rus Bus made Tracey hungry for more!

2011

This lead her to the best in the industry, International Circus Performer Renee Pilkington. Renee made her way into the the circus world as a producer, manager, rigger, artist and performer in WA. She is the whole package! Specialising in aerial performance, as well as the occasional spinning of hula hoops and ripping phonebooks in half, she has worked with New York City, Prague and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, La Fura Des Baus, and The Flying Lotahs. Renee established her own company Fliptease in 2006 and she performs, programs, designs and teaches anywhere she can find space! Renee has recently returned to Australia after training with the China Acrobatic Troupe and Beijing International Arts School and whirlwind world tour! With Renee, Tracey learnt Aerial Silks, Hoops (Lyra) and Rope.

Tracey prides herself of learning from the best and being able to pass that knowledge and expertise on to her instructors and students.

Always craving more knowledge and skills, Tracey started her studies in Nutrition; a field Tracey had been interested in for a long time, even more now she had her own studio.

This year Tracey produced and directed the first ever annual South West Australian Pole Championships in Bunbury. The event was a huge success and has now grown to become one the must-see events of the year with students from all over the South-West sending in audition tapes in the hopes to be selected to compete.

2013

Tracey completed her studies  and was now certified in Nutrition, Paediatric Nutrition and Sports Nutrition. Tracey’s commitment and care for her student’s well being is an attribute that sets her apart. With her new skills she had the ability to advise her students how to feed their bodies what it needs to be able to perform at an optimum level while training extreme sports; helping them to achieve maximum results through both nutrition and training.

Tracey was then approached by the International Pole Dance Fitness Association (IPDFA) to obtain her Masters in  Instructing Aerial Fitness.

2014

Being the workhorse and passionate woman she is, Tracey finished her masters qualification in half the time required and became the IPDFA Australian Representative and Master Instructor Trainer.  She now trains students from all over the globe who want to be Internationally Certified Instructors.

2015

As if being a Master Trainer wasn’t enough Trace has now become the Operations Manager for IPDFA Australia and New Zealand. She is now working to achieve six Master Trainers throughout Australia and New Zealand as the demand for studios goes up and Insurance companies getting wind of the qualifications needed to train students in the air. Pole Fitness is now no longer a dance but an extreme sport that requires highly skilled and certified instructors in order to be insured.

In October Tracey will be travelling to Queensland to qualify and handful of student before heading off to Hong Kong in November for the International Pole Championships to represent Australasia.

Most recently it has been announced that IPDFA will be sponsoring Tracey to become an IPDFA Qualified Judge. Training with the board of judges and Ania Przeplasko herself. Tracey will be judging at the 2015 IPC World Championships in Hong Kong.
